An area of low pressure is moving across South Texas today, and it could even develop some tropical characteristics as it gets closer to the coast. This means that while San Antonio might see limited rainfall, areas south and east of the city are at a greater risk for flooding. Rain chances for San Antonio are around 30%, but the further you go south and southeast, the higher the chances and risks become.
The highest rain chances will stay south and east of San Antonio.

HEAT KICKS UP
After the low pressure system moves through, stable air will settle in, which means fewer clouds and warmer temperatures. By Thursday, we can expect highs in the mid to upper 90s. With the humidity still hanging around, the heat index could feel as high as 110°F in the afternoon!
Temperatures will soar on Thursday, with heat index values near 110°.

MORE RAIN CHANCES
Looking ahead to Friday, another front will be moving into South Texas, which could lead to more showers and thunderstorms. Rain chances will stick around into Saturday, bringing the possibility of heavy rainfall, but they will decrease again by Sunday.
