FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS

FORECAST

NEAR 100° AGAIN TODAY

Yesterday marked the third day in a row of either equaling or setting a record high temperature, with the thermometer hitting 101°F. Today, we’re expecting another scorcher with a forecasted high of 99°F, which is still well above average for September. As we transition into fall, these high temperatures can be quite uncomfortable for many. Staying hydrated and avoiding outdoor activities during peak heat hours is crucial.

THURSDAY & FRIDAY

Looking ahead to tomorrow, we can expect deeper moisture from the Gulf to influence our weather. This should help push some coastal showers further inland, and we might see more cloud cover as a result. Temperatures should ease slightly, and there is a 20% chance of rain in San Antonio. However, don’t forget to keep an eye on the skies, as there may be spotty lightning delays during Thursday and Friday football games.

RAIN LOOKING LESS PROMISING EARLY NEXT WEEK

Initially, early next week looked like it would bring some rain, but forecasts are now showing a weaker system that will likely stay further north. This means we can expect lower rain chances and warmer temperatures on Monday and Tuesday. Thankfully, it won’t be as scorching hot, as the heat high is expected to be displaced, giving us a slight reprieve from the relentless heat.
