FORECAST

TODAY

Loud storms overnight brought a significant amount of rain, ranging from 0.75 to 2 inches across the area. If you’re planning to head out this morning, be cautious around low water crossings. Fortunately, the rain is expected to taper off from west to east, giving way to clearer skies by the afternoon.

Most of your Wednesday will be calm, with afternoon sunshine likely to push temperatures into the low 80s. This warming could destabilize the atmosphere, setting the stage for potential storms later.

THIS EVENING/SPURS WATCH PARTIES

Expect a few isolated storms to pop up again by the evening. There’s about a 30% chance of rain, so if you’re heading to any outdoor Spurs watch parties, stay alert to the weather. Stronger storms might develop along the Rio Grande and into the Edwards Plateau.

TONIGHT

Storms developing to the west may move into our area overnight, bringing more heavy rainfall if they maintain their strength. This storm activity is expected to shift eastward by sunrise on Thursday.

Another round of overnight storms is possible into Thursday morning

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

After a relatively quiet Friday, we could see another wave of storms moving in Friday night into Saturday. Given the amount of rain we’ve seen this week, there’s a concern for potential flooding during this period. Rain chances might linger into Saturday, likely keeping temperatures cooler.

However, not all is lost for outdoor activities! Sunday looks to be drier and sunnier, as does Memorial Day. While isolated storms can’t be completely ruled out, the likelihood of widespread rainfall appears to be lower.
