‘VERY STRONG’ EL NINO IS LIKELY: Looking further ahead, there are expectations that El Nino will impact South Texas this winter. The likelihood of a ‘very strong’ El Nino has now increased to more than 90%. Typically, El Nino winters bring a more active weather pattern to the region, so keep an eye out for changes in the forecast!
