CAVENDER GRANDE FORD

3600 I-35, San Antonio, TX 78219

Host David Elder recently transformed the parking lot of Cavender Grande Ford into a lively fajita cookout. With General Manager Casey Ogletree at the helm, they served up seasoned tri-colored peppers, caramelized onions, juicy chicken, warm tortillas, and fresh salsa. The best part? It was completely free while supplies lasted. Casey expressed his excitement, calling it his favorite Friday of the month, and with that sizzling flat-top, it’s easy to see why.

But the fun didn’t stop there. Attendees had the chance to register for a Ninja cooler and two chairs—a perfect summer prize for beach trips or backyard barbecues. Plus, Cavender Grande Ford had some impressive deals: you could drive home in a 2026 Bronco Sport Big Bend for under $30,000 or a loaded 2026 Explorer ST Line for under $45,000. And for truck lovers, 2026 F-150s are available with 2.9% financing for up to 84 months, some of the lowest rates we’ve seen in years.

NADC

1007 E 6th St, Austin, TX 78702

NADC Burger—short for Not a Damn Chance—has an origin story that sounds almost mythical. A Michelin-starred chef and a professional skateboarder teamed up to give away burgers, and in doing so, created one of the most talked-about burger spots in Texas. The duo, Chef Phillip Frankland-Lee and pro skateboarder Neen Williams, developed their recipes over two years, perfecting everything from the beef to the sauce.

Their NADC Burger is a double smashburger made with two 3-ounce patties of 100% American wagyu beef, topped with New School’s Real American Cheese, a secret tangy sauce, onions, pickles, and slightly tamed jalapeños. Each element is expertly designed to balance the richness of the wagyu. Pair that with some ice-cold beer and Beast Mode loaded fries for a truly satisfying meal.

ROUND ROCK DONUTS

106 W Liberty Ave, Round Rock, TX 78664

Tucked inside the historic Lone Star Bakery, Round Rock Donuts isn’t just selling pastries; it’s dishing out a slice of Texas history with each perfectly golden ring. Founded in 1926 by German immigrant Reinhold Moehring, the bakery has been perfecting its dough recipe for nearly a century.

By the early 1940s, Moehring created a hand-rolled, yeast-risen glazed donut with a distinct yellow-orange hue from fresh eggs. This unique recipe birthed the iconic Round Rock Donut, which remains unchanged to this day. While the classic glazed donut is still the star, the menu has expanded to include chocolate, strawberry, maple-iced, and even a Texas-size donut—a colossal creation that can be customized to your liking.

Round Rock Donuts has earned global recognition, recently ranking 21st in TasteAtlas’s list of the Top 150 Most Legendary Dessert Places in the World, and it’s 4th in the United States and 1st in Texas.
