SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department has recently apprehended an additional suspect linked to an armed robbery that occurred at a bank on the Northeast Side of the city.
The suspect, identified as Luis Barrios, 36, has been charged with one count of aggravated robbery, according to records from Bexar County court.
Another suspect, 57-year-old Omar Resendez-Diaz, was arrested earlier this week and is also facing charges of aggravated robbery.

The robbery took place on July 18, just before 11 a.m., at the Security Service Federal Credit Union located in the 6900 block of North Loop 1604 East. During the incident, Barrios and Resendez-Diaz allegedly threatened a bank employee with a gun and stole items from customers.
After the robbery, the suspects fled in a vehicle that was later discovered abandoned on Nacogdoches Road. Investigators revealed that this vehicle had been reported stolen during a separate aggravated robbery just a day prior, on July 17. Notably, the clothing worn by the suspects matched descriptions from the previous incident.
Barrios has been booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held on a $500,000 bond.
