LLANO COUNTY, Texas – A serious incident has taken place in Llano County, where a former substitute teacher from the Llano Independent School District has been arrested. Angela Palmares is facing accusations of having an improper relationship with a student, as confirmed by the local sheriff’s office.

On Tuesday, the Llano County Sheriff’s Office alerted the Llano Independent School District about the allegations. Following this notification, the district promptly removed Palmares from its list of substitute teachers to ensure the safety of its students.

Authorities issued a warrant for Palmares after conducting thorough interviews and collecting evidence related to the case. Subsequently, she was arrested in Bell County, which is located north of Austin. This operation involved collaboration with the Texas Department of Public Safety Fusion Center and the Bell County Sheriff’s Office.

Palmares is facing a serious charge for her alleged actions, which fall under the category of an improper relationship between an educator and a student. This type of behavior raises significant concerns about student safety and the responsibilities of educators.

The sheriff’s office is urging anyone who thinks they might have been affected by Palmares’ actions, or anyone who has more information about the case, to come forward and contact their office to speak with an investigator. This call for information highlights the importance of community involvement in ensuring safety in schools.

Such incidents remind us of the critical role that educators play in the lives of students and the trust that is placed in them. Schools are expected to be safe havens for learning, and any breach of that trust needs to be addressed with seriousness and urgency.
