The police received a call about the situation early Tuesday morning, shortly before 7 a.m. The home was located on South Winston Lane, near Northwest Military Highway. The woman, who lives there alone, was startled awake by the sound of running water. Imagine her shock when she discovered that someone else was in her shower!
According to interim Chief Jose Davila, the woman panicked when she noticed a pair of men’s shoes inside her home. Feeling scared and vulnerable, she quickly retreated to her bedroom to call for help. The police responded swiftly, entering the home and arresting the intruder on various charges. As of that afternoon, his name had not yet been released.
“I guess he needed a shower. I’m not sure,” remarked Chief Davila, adding, “Thank God nothing serious happened other than him breaking into the house.”
What’s particularly alarming is how the man gained access to the home. The woman had left her house keys in her unlocked car, and they were even labeled, making it easy for anyone to know which keys belonged to her house.
