SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio musician, Felix Roberto Juarez, who performs under the name Felix Truvere, has been arrested twice in recent weeks for serious allegations related to child sexual abuse material and invasive visual recording.
Juarez, 52, was first arrested on October 23, 2023, at Cool Crest Miniature Golf & Metzger Biergarten, where he was scheduled to perform. Authorities charged him with possessing over 50 photos and videos of child sexual abuse material. This initial arrest raised alarm bells about his behavior, leading to further investigations.
Just two weeks later, on November 3, 2023, Juarez faced additional charges for invasive visual recording. According to an affidavit, he was caught on a Ring camera recording videos while peeking through his neighbors’ bedroom window. This incident occurred on multiple occasions, with footage showing him on June 24 and again on July 1, 2023.
When questioned by police, Juarez claimed he was merely in the yard to retrieve his cat that had escaped. However, investigators sought access to his phone, which he initially denied, instead providing an iCloud email that led to a search warrant. The investigation revealed videos of the victims engaged in sexual conduct, indicating that his troubling behavior had been ongoing for longer than initially believed.
The parents of the victims expressed their outrage upon viewing the footage. One parent remarked, “It’s infuriating how comfortable he is up there. How comfortable he is looking at my children.” Such statements highlight the emotional impact these events have on families and the community as a whole.
In light of these serious allegations, the venue where Juarez was scheduled to perform issued a statement condemning his actions and severed ties with him. This response underscores the importance of community vigilance and the responsibility of public spaces to ensure safety and well-being.
As this case unfolds, it serves as a reminder of the ongoing issues surrounding child safety and the need for thorough investigations in such cases. Authorities encourage anyone with additional information to come forward to ensure that justice is served.
