Despite the rain, the heat is still a concern. A Heat Advisory is in effect from noon to 8 PM today for much of South Central Texas, with heat index values reaching around 108 degrees. This level of heat can be dangerous, so remember to stay hydrated, take breaks indoors, and check in on friends and family.

THIS WEEKEND

This weekend won’t be a total washout, but it’s a good idea to keep an umbrella handy, as rain coverage looks to be around 40%. While clouds and rain may help ease the heat at times, it will still feel warm and humid, with heat index values near 100–105° in some areas.
