In 2007, Donovan famously accepted the head coaching position with the Orlando Magic but ultimately chose to remain at the University of Florida, where he achieved remarkable success. In 2015, Donovan made the leap to the NBA, taking over as head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Prior to his coaching career, Donovan was also a standout player for the 1987 Providence College Friars, coached by the legendary Rick Pitino, a testament to his deep-rooted connection to the game.
