SAN ANTONIO – A serious incident occurred in San Antonio recently, where a woman is accused of using her vehicle as a weapon against two individuals following a dispute. According to reports from the San Antonio Police Department, the altercation took place on a Monday evening in the Medical Center area.
The suspect, identified as Dionisiah Edwards-Carpeal, 36, was apprehended shortly after the crash. She is facing grave charges, including murder and aggravated assault, reflecting the severity of the alleged offense.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Edwards-Carpeal intentionally struck a 37-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man in a parking lot on Data Point Drive, close to Wurzbach Road. Witnesses reported that Edwards-Carpeal initially followed the victims’ vehicle after they left a nearby restaurant, engaging in a heated argument from her car window.
At some point during this confrontation, police believe she deliberately aimed her vehicle at the victims, leading to the tragic incident. The female victim succumbed to her injuries later at a hospital, although as of Wednesday afternoon, the Bexar County Medical Examiner had not yet confirmed her identity.
The condition of the male victim remains unclear, as police have not provided updates regarding his status. Additionally, investigators have not disclosed whether there was any prior relationship between the suspect and the victims.
