SAN ANTONIO – A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged with murder following a fatal stabbing incident that occurred at a West Side apartment complex. The suspect, identified as Bryan Wilson, was taken into custody and booked into the Bexar County jail on Thursday, facing one count of murder, classified as a first-degree felony, according to court records.
The San Antonio police responded to a report of a stabbing shortly after midnight on September 2, in the 1000 block of San Fernando Street, located near Guadalupe Street. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a male victim, later identified as 33-year-old Cecilio Reyes Lucio, suffering from multiple stab wounds.
Lucio was promptly transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The specific cause and manner of his death are still under investigation by authorities.
Witness accounts revealed that Wilson and Lucio were engaged in an altercation when a knife was produced. The witness, familiar with the two men, referred to them by their nicknames, “Chops” for Wilson and “Tips” for Lucio, as stated in the arrest warrant.
According to police reports, Wilson allegedly stabbed Lucio multiple times before fleeing the scene to a nearby residence on Torreon Street. Eyewitnesses indicated that Wilson was heard exclaiming, “I stabbed you b****,” before escaping, which adds a chilling context to the violent altercation.
Further investigations led officers to a Facebook account matching Wilson’s description, where his nickname “Chops” was featured in the profile bio. Additionally, police discovered that Wilson was a suspect in a separate aggravated robbery case, which reportedly occurred at the residence to which he fled post-stabbing.
Currently, Wilson is being held in jail with a bond set at $200,000, as the investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
