SAN ANTONIO – In a significant law enforcement operation, two men were apprehended for allegedly manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine within a residential area in northeast Bexar County. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) shared details of the arrests through a social media update, highlighting the ongoing fight against drug-related crimes in the community.
The suspects, identified as Michael Flowe, 55, and Wayne Christiansen, 53, have been charged with first-degree felonies related to the manufacturing and distribution of a controlled substance. Jail records indicate that Flowe faces an additional charge for tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, a serious offense that underscores the gravity of their actions.
On June 1, sheriff deputies responded to a call at a residence located in the 7000 block of Glen Point Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered Christiansen exiting the property and subsequently arrested him. A search of the home revealed alarming evidence: Flowe was found attempting to dispose of approximately 189 grams of methamphetamine by flushing it down the toilet, a desperate act that highlights the lengths individuals may go to evade capture.
In total, the authorities seized 315 grams of methamphetamine, as well as digital scales and packaging materials typically associated with drug distribution. This find not only reflects the scale of their operations but also raises concerns about the potential impact on the local community.
Both men were booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center on the day of their arrests. Records indicate that Christiansen was able to post bond and was released shortly after, while Flowe remains in custody with a bond set at $50,000. This situation serves as a reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by law enforcement in combating drug-related offenses and the importance of community vigilance.
