1 hospitalized after house fire on Southeast Side, SAFD says

SAN ANTONIO – A person was hospitalized following a dramatic rescue by firefighters from a house fire on the Southeast Side of San Antonio. The incident, which unfolded on Saturday morning, highlights the critical work of emergency responders in high-pressure situations.

The San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD) received reports of the fire around 9 a.m. in the 4600 block of Alma Drive, near South WW White Road. Upon arrival, firefighters were met with a chaotic scene as flames engulfed the home, and there were urgent reports of an individual trapped inside.
