SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are looking for a suspect involved in a shooting that left a 37-year-old man injured while he was riding his bike on the Southwest Side of the city.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday in the 3000 block of Weir Avenue, close to Cupples Road. Early reports from the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) indicate that the victim was riding his bike when a sedan approached him.
According to the preliminary investigation, a person got out of the sedan, confronted the victim, and assaulted him before shooting him in the lower body. After the shooting, the assailant fled the scene, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
The SAPD is continuing their investigation into this serious incident, stressing the importance of public safety and urging anyone with information to come forward.
