SAN ANTONIO – Recently, a San Antonio country musician named Felix Roberto Juarez, who performs under the stage name Felix Truvere, was arrested on serious charges related to child sexual abuse material. This arrest took place on October 23, just before he was scheduled to perform at Cool Crest Miniature Golf & Metzger Biergarten on the Northwest Side. According to an arrest affidavit, police discovered over 50 photos and videos in an iCloud account linked to Juarez.

The accusations stem from claims that Juarez recorded a young woman through her bedroom window. This woman, in her 20s, is the daughter of Flo Reyes, who used to live next door to him. Reyes reported that she has multiple recordings showing Juarez looking through her daughter’s bedroom window on different occasions. She expressed her anger and concern, stating, “It’s infuriating how comfortable he is up there, looking at my children.”

Details of the Investigation

According to the affidavit, a San Antonio police detective searched Juarez’s iCloud account on October 7, where they found at least 50 photos and videos containing child sexual abuse material. Juarez reportedly provided the detective with his iCloud email address, which helped confirm the account belonged to him. The situation left Reyes shocked, as she could not fathom how someone she had known for years could be involved in such disturbing behavior.

“Oh my gosh, it was a shock,” Reyes said, expressing disbelief that Juarez could possess such material, especially as a father of two young children himself.

Impact on the Music Community

On the day of his arrest, the venue where Juarez was supposed to perform announced on social media that they would no longer host him. They clarified that he was not an employee but an independent performer. The venue condemned the alleged actions, emphasizing their commitment to providing a safe, family-friendly environment.

Reyes also expressed her concern about Juarez’s past performances at events attended by children, questioning the safety of those environments. She feared there might be more victims and expressed her worries for other families.

What’s Next for Juarez?

Juarez’s future in music is uncertain. His website, which previously listed upcoming performances until March 2027, appears to have been taken down. The community is left to grapple with the implications of these serious allegations and the impact they have on the local music scene.

As the legal process unfolds, it serves as a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance and safety, especially in environments where children are present. The case is still in progress, and many are awaiting further developments.
