SAN ANTONIO – In a disturbing incident of road rage, two individuals were injured, including a pregnant woman, in a shooting that occurred on the Southwest Side of San Antonio. This event highlights the serious implications of aggressive driving and the potential for violent outcomes.

The San Antonio Police Department reported that the shooting took place around 9:30 p.m. on Monday evening in the 5500 block of Little Creek Drive, near Old Pearsall Road. Eyewitnesses and police suggest that tensions may have escalated between drivers, leading to the unfortunate shooting.

A 20-year-old woman, who is approximately six to seven months pregnant, was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure. Thankfully, she and an 18-year-old man who was also injured are both expected to recover from their injuries.

Authorities are currently investigating the specific circumstances of the shooting, including whether the injuries were caused by “birdshot” or shaglass, which can result from various types of projectiles. This detail is crucial in understanding the nature of the attack and ensuring public safety.

Police have detained three individuals for questioning as part of their investigation, though further details surrounding the incident have not been disclosed at this time. The community is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior as the investigation continues.

Road rage incidents can escalate quickly and lead to tragic outcomes, as evidenced by this event. It’s important for drivers to practice patience and maintain calm, especially in tense situations. As always, the safety of all road users should be a top priority.
