SAN ANTONIO – A man has been detained in connection with an alarming incident on the North Side of San Antonio that has left a woman critically injured, according to reports from the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD).
The police received a call about a stabbing at around 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday morning. The location was the 200 block of West Lullwood Avenue, close to Hildebrand Avenue.
According to SAPD Public Information Officer Sharavious Jackson, the woman had called her son before the incident, expressing concern that her husband was acting “really strange.” This prompted her son to visit their home to check on the situation.
When he arrived, the son discovered that his mother had been stabbed multiple times in the upper body. She was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where she is reported to be in critical condition.
The father of the woman has since been detained for further questioning and may face serious charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and family violence.
