GUADALUPE COUNTY, TX – Three Texas men were arrested in connection to a statewide organized grain-theft operation, according to the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation began on March 11 after a grain theft was reported on Barbosa Road. The sheriff’s office looked into the incident and found that the thefts were part of a larger network, with semi-trailer loads of grain being targeted across the state.
According to the sheriff’s office, a total of 176 loads, which equate to about 9,117,638 pounds of various grains, were stolen. The estimated value of these stolen grains is approximately $791,739, a significant loss for local farmers and businesses.
In response, the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office worked hard to gather evidence and obtain arrest warrants. They collaborated with multiple law enforcement agencies across several counties to apprehend the suspects.
The three men arrested are facing serious charges in Guadalupe County, including engaging in organized criminal activity, stealing or receiving stolen grain, and theft of property valued at more than $300,000.
Here are the names and details of the arrested individuals:
- Pablo Franco Jr., 46 – arrested in Atascosa County
- Ricky Regalado, 52 – arrested in Smiley
- Larry Regalado, 57 – arrested in New Braunfels
The sheriff’s office has also noted that additional suspects are still at large, and more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
