SAN ANTONIO – Two Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers were injured on Friday evening during a dangerous pursuit involving a fleeing vehicle in San Antonio, Texas. This incident highlights the risks law enforcement officers face while ensuring public safety.
The events unfolded around 6:35 p.m. when DPS troopers attempted to pull over a white Chevrolet Malibu for a traffic violation near Weizmann Street. Instead of stopping, the driver sped away, leading to a high-stakes vehicle chase.

In an effort to stop the fleeing car, the troopers deployed a Grappler device, designed to disable fleeing vehicles. However, the driver managed to escape on foot, entering a second vehicle that also fled the scene, complicating the pursuit further.
