SAN ANTONIO – The excitement for San Antonio’s very first KPOPWORLD Festival has hit a snag as organizers recently announced that the event will be postponed until next year due to visa delays and restrictions affecting some artists.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, the festival organizers explained, “After extensive discussions with our immigration, production, and event teams, we have made the difficult decision to postpone KPOPWORLD Festival USA to 2027.” This decision comes as a disappointment to many fans eager to experience the event.
Originally set to take place from October 28-31 at the Alamodome, the festival promised to be a vibrant celebration of K-pop culture, music, dance, and fandom. Featuring popular artists like Jay Park, The Rose, and SB19, the concerts were scheduled for October 30-31, adding to the anticipation surrounding the event.
However, despite utilizing expedited services to secure U.S. visas for the performers, the organizers faced significant hurdles. They stated, “Facing the possibility of a significantly reduced lineup due to visa delays and restrictions, and furthermore, disappointing fans, the most responsible decision is to postpone the Festival and provide sufficient time to deliver the promised experience.” This careful consideration reflects their commitment to providing an unforgettable event.
For those who have already purchased tickets, there’s no need to worry. Ticketmaster will issue refunds to buyers within 14 days. Additionally, the organizers promised that original ticket holders will receive an exclusive presale code for when tickets go back on sale, ensuring that fans won’t miss out when the festival returns.
KPOPWORLD Festival is not just about music; it’s a gathering of fans who share a love for K-pop culture. The decision to postpone demonstrates the organizers’ dedication to delivering a full and enjoyable experience, reflecting their expertise and understanding of the fans’ expectations. As the new date approaches, fans will remain hopeful for a fantastic celebration of K-pop in the near future.
Stay tuned for updates from the organizers, and be sure to keep an eye on KPOPWORLD’s social media for the latest news regarding the festival. We can’t wait to celebrate K-pop together!
