BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – On Thursday afternoon, Bexar County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a significant gambling bust that led to the arrest of two women and citations for five others.
According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, the Organized Crime Division executed a search warrant around 3 p.m. in the 7400 block of U.S. Highway 90, close to Military Drive. This area is known for its mix of businesses and local activity.
During the operation, deputies discovered 44 gambling machines and seized an impressive $19,137 in cash. Initially, seven individuals were detained as part of the investigation.
After further inquiries, law enforcement took two women into custody: 66-year-old Olga Sifuentes Rodriguez and 21-year-old Ecstasy Leyva. Both were charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, a serious offense categorized as a state jail felony.
Following their arrest, Rodriguez and Leyva were transported to the Bexar County Adult Detention Center but have since been released on bond, according to jail records.
