Heidi Klum, the famous supermodel and TV personality, made a stunning transformation for her annual Halloween party in New York this year. This event marked the 25th anniversary of Klum hosting the highly anticipated bash, and she certainly did not disappoint with her gruesome costume.

For 2023, Klum decided to become a giant, severed hand, and her look was nothing short of terrifying. With only her eyes and mouth visible, she sported a mouth dribbling with fake blood, while her tongue stuck out in a dramatic pose. The top of the costume featured a gory display of dangling ligaments and tendons, creating an effect that was both gruesome and impressive. To assist her in this elaborate costume, she had a team of helpers dressed in blood-stained hazmat suits.

The idea for this unique costume came to Klum last year, as she contemplated how she could creatively represent her own left hand, complete with long red nails, a thumb ring, and her engagement and wedding rings. “I looked at my hand and I thought, ‘Hey, I think I could fit my body in this somehow,’” Klum explained, showcasing her creativity and humor.

In recent years, Klum has become famous for her elaborate Halloween costumes, often going viral for her incredible creativity. Last year, she arrived at the party suspended on a fishing line, dressed as a giant worm! Her past costumes have included a stunning Medusa, an 8-foot-tall Transformer, a werewolf inspired by Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” and even a version of Kali, the Hindu goddess.

Creating this year’s gruesome hand costume took Klum about five to six hours to put on, but the actual design and assembly took much longer. She shared some sneak peeks on her Instagram, showing her followers the process of applying bloodied prosthetics to her face. “Hands down, the hardest thing is carrying it,” Klum remarked, noting the weight of the costume.

Although her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, couldn’t attend the party as he was on tour, Klum made sure to incorporate a personal touch into her costume. She had a tattoo of his name on her ring finger, along with detailed palm lines and veins on her hand costume. “A little bit of Tom is with me,” she affectionately said, highlighting the bond they share.
