FORECAST
TODAY
After a long spell of dry weather, the forecast is looking up starting today! A surge of moisture is currently off the Texas coast, and as it moves into South Texas, it’s expected to trigger isolated to scattered downpours. The rain chances today are around 40%, with the best opportunities for rain happening in the afternoon.

SCATTERED RAIN SATURDAY
Rain will make a comeback on Saturday! Expect random, scattered downpours across the area. While it’s not guaranteed that everyone will see rain, those who do could receive a quick half inch to an inch of rain. This could lead to street flooding in some areas. Additionally, be prepared for some lightning and gusty winds that might accompany the heavier showers. However, don’t forget to enjoy some sunshine in between the rain showers, as conditions will still be quite humid.

MORE CHANCES NEXT WEEK
Looking ahead, as the heat high shifts far to the north by early next week, more rain chances will open up late Monday into Tuesday. Just like this weekend, we can expect more scattered downpours. This weather pattern should help keep temperatures below average, providing some relief from the heat.
