Looking ahead to the middle of the week, South Texas will experience a shift to dry weather on Wednesday and Thursday. However, residents should expect a haze in the sky due to a light layer of Saharan dust moving into the area. Fortunately, the concentration of this dust is expected to be low, so it shouldn’t have a significant impact on health or visibility.

As we approach the weekend, expect a significant shift in weather conditions. A surge of Gulf moisture is forecasted to arrive late Friday into Saturday, which could result in scattered downpours across the area. There’s a 40% chance of rain on Saturday afternoon, so while it may not rain all day, any rain that does develop could lead to some impressive downpours.
