FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS
FORECAST
TODAY
Today, Sunday, is shaping up to be a much calmer day compared to Saturday. There’s only a 20% chance of an isolated afternoon shower or thunderstorm, meaning most of us should stay dry. Expect temperatures to rise into the lower 90s, and with the humidity, it will feel quite warm. The weak upper-level flow will limit storm development, so the rain coverage will be significantly lower than yesterday.

NEXT WEEK
As we head into next week, the weather is expected to become more active starting Monday. This is due to an increase in Gulf moisture across South-Central Texas, leading to scattered showers and thunderstorms each day until at least Thursday.
Highest chance of rain arrives Monday evening through Wednesday

The best chances for rain will occur Monday night through Wednesday, when we expect deep tropical moisture to bring periods of heavy rainfall. Some storms might cause intense downpours, which could lead to minor flooding, particularly in low-lying areas and places with poor drainage. While pinpointing the exact locations for the heaviest rainfall is tricky at this point, Tuesday and Wednesday seem to have the highest potential for widespread rain.
REST OF THE WEEK
As the week continues, cloud cover and frequent rain will help keep temperatures below seasonal averages. Some areas might stay below 90 degrees from Tuesday to Thursday. Rain chances will start to decrease late Thursday, with drier weather expected to return by the end of the week.
