Expect a sunny and hot day on Sunday, with temperatures in the mid-to-upper 90s, and some areas might even hit the 100-degree mark. A dry atmosphere and high pressure will limit any chances of rain, keeping us just below extreme heat levels.
RAIN CHANCES REMAIN LOW
A weak weather disturbance is expected to move in from the Gulf, which could lead to a few isolated showers or thunderstorms on Tuesday and Wednesday, particularly along the Coastal Plains.

Most of these storms are likely to stay close to the coast, but an isolated shower might make its way further inland. However, if any rain does come, it will probably be brief and won’t provide much relief from the heat.
EXTENDED FORECAST
Looking ahead, we can expect hot and mostly dry conditions to continue throughout much of the upcoming week, with highs generally in the 90s. By next weekend, the persistent high-pressure system may begin to lose strength, potentially paving the way for a more active weather pattern as winds shift to a more northerly direction.
