If you’re feeling the heat, you’re not alone! New York City and Philadelphia are experiencing temperatures that are significantly higher than those in San Antonio. The heat index values, which combine temperature and humidity to indicate how hot it feels, are soaring across the East Coast, making it feel much warmer than the actual temperatures we’re seeing here in South Texas.

Wondering about the chance of rain? While it won’t be a washout, a few stray showers are possible, especially around sunrise and later in the afternoon. However, these showers are expected to be minimal and won’t impact your day too much. This pattern is likely to continue into the holiday weekend.

As we look ahead to Sunday and Monday, there’s a chance we might see a bit more rain. Outflow boundaries coming from the north could increase our chances for precipitation, with a slight 20% likelihood of rain on both days. After Monday, it looks like things will dry up again, so if you’re making plans, the weather should cooperate.
