FORECAST

ANOTHER DAY AT THE CENTURY MARK

On Wednesday, we reached a sizzling 101°F, and today we’re gearing up to be right back around the 100°F mark. If we hit that threshold, it will mark our third day of the year in triple digits!

A SHOT AT A SHOWER FRIDAY

A non-tropical disturbance over the Gulf is expected to make its way inland this afternoon before moving up the Rio Grande on Friday. While there’s a slight chance of a shower, the likelihood sits at only 10%. However, expect some added clouds on Friday, which might bring down the temperatures a bit.

An area of low pressure will bring a small window for a shower on Friday.

A STRETCH OF TRIPLE DIGIT HEAT

Looking ahead, every day next week is forecasted to reach 100°F or higher. Unfortunately, the heat high has settled in over the central U.S., leaving us with dry and sweltering conditions.

TROPICS

In the tropics, Cristobal formed yesterday in the northern Atlantic but is expected to dissipate quickly without affecting land. Meanwhile, Dolly may develop in the southern Atlantic, although it too is likely to fall apart before reaching the Caribbean. There’s another wave behind it that could potentially become Edouard.

The Atlantic remains active, with two waves that may develop in the coming days.
