SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Spurs are set to make their return to the NBA playoffs, stepping into the spotlight on Sunday night for the first time in seven years. This much-anticipated matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers marks a significant moment for the franchise, whose last postseason appearance came in 2019.

The excitement surrounding this series surged after the Trail Blazers secured a hard-fought victory over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday. Shortly thereafter, the NBA released key details regarding the tipoff and broadcast information for the first four games of the Spurs’ first-round series against Portland, allowing fans to plan accordingly.

The 2026 postseason is notable not just for the Spurs’ return but also because it is the first to be influenced by the NBA’s new long-term television contracts with ESPN/ABC, NBC/Peacock, and Amazon Prime Video. These agreements have reshaped how fans will experience playoff basketball, as first-round series will no longer feature local broadcasts. Instead, all games will be exclusively aired on the league’s national broadcast partners.

According to the NBA’s announcements, Game 1 of the Spurs-Trail Blazers series is scheduled to tip off at 8 p.m. Central time from the Frost Bank Center and will be broadcast on NBC. This game represents a crucial opportunity for the Spurs to establish momentum early in the series.

The league has also confirmed the dates, start times, and networks for Games 2, 3, and 4. Game 2 will take place in San Antonio at 7 p.m. and will again air on NBC. Following these initial home games, the series will transition to the Moda Center in Portland for Games 3 and 4.

Game 3 is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. on Friday and will be streamed on Amazon Prime Video. Meanwhile, Game 4 is set for 2:30 p.m. on Sunday and will be featured on ESPN. Should the Spurs and Trail Blazers series extend beyond the guaranteed four games, the league will announce tipoff and broadcast times for Games 5, 6, and 7 at a later date.

Here is the complete first-round schedule:
