BOSTON – Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton crossed the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday, achieving a personal milestone while receiving warm congratulations from her proud parents, former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Chelsea, who is 46 years old, completed the grueling 26.2-mile (42.195-kilometer) race with an impressive time of 3 hours, 40 minutes, and 52 seconds. This marks her seventh marathon, adding to her previous runs, which include four at the New York City Marathon, as listed on athlinks.com.

Joining the Clintons at the finish line was Meb Keflezighi, the 2014 Boston Marathon champion and the last American man to win the historic race. His presence further emphasized the significance of Chelsea’s accomplishment in a field bustling with both amateur and elite runners.

This year’s marathon was notable not only for Chelsea’s achievement but also for the participation of various distinguished athletes. Among them was astronaut Suni Williams, who finished the marathon in 5 hours, 52 minutes, and 49 seconds. Hockey Hall of Famer Zdeno Chara completed the race in a remarkable 3 hours and 18 minutes, while 2018 Boston winner Des Linden secured second place in the women’s masters division with a time of 2 hours, 35 minutes, and 49 seconds. Additionally, 1968 men’s winner Amby Burfoot finished in 5 hours and 11 minutes.

The Boston Marathon is renowned for its challenging course and is a pinnacle event in the world of long-distance running. Participants come from all walks of life, and the camaraderie and spirit of the event make it a celebrated occasion each year.

Chelsea Clinton’s dedication to running reflects her commitment to health and wellness, traits she has championed throughout her career as an author and vice chair of the Clinton Foundation. Her accomplishment serves as an inspiration to many who aspire to push their limits, both physically and mentally.
