Hot and humid weekend

Today, the weather will start off mostly cloudy and humid as you kick off your weekend. However, by the afternoon, expect the skies to clear up with plenty of sunshine, pushing temperatures to a high near 90°F. It is essential to take precautions against the heat, especially since we are just beginning to adjust to these warmer conditions.

Tomorrow, we can anticipate waking up to some patchy morning mist. Although clouds may linger longer than expected, there will still be opportunities for sunshine in the afternoon hours. Temperatures will remain hot, again reaching near 90°F.

Looking ahead to next week, we are entering a phase of unsettled weather patterns. A combination of atmospheric energy and a slow-moving cool front will contribute to daily storm chances throughout the week. While it’s not expected to be a washout every day, the likelihood of rain stands at approximately 30% to 40%.

As for the timing and exact locations of any storms, that information will become clearer as the week progresses. However, the conditions may be ripe for strong or severe storms wherever they do develop. Furthermore, low rain chances could persist leading into the Memorial Day weekend.
