SUNDAY

As we embrace the weekend, the weather is reflecting a typical summer day. Expect a warm, humid atmosphere that will keep you on your toes if you’re planning to spend time outdoors.

This morning, a few spotty showers may make an appearance, but don’t let that deter you! Throughout the day, we anticipate plenty of sunshine breaking through the clouds. The temperature will soar to a high of nearly 90°F, but the humidity will make it feel closer to 100°F, so stay hydrated and cool.

While there is only a 20% chance of a stray shower popping up at any moment, it’s always wise to keep an eye on the sky if you’re outside.

NEXT WEEK

Looking ahead to next week, high pressure systems will dominate the weather patterns, effectively keeping rain at bay for an extended period. This could mark one of the longest stretches without measurable precipitation we’ve seen in quite a while. As for temperatures, expect them to continue climbing, offering plenty of opportunities for summer activities.

TROPICS

In terms of tropical activity, early forecasts suggest that we could see some development in the Gulf of Mexico by next weekend. Currently, there are no indicators that Texas would experience any adverse effects from a potential system, but we will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as necessary.

There are some early indications there could be some tropical development near the Gulf NEXT weekend.
