Officer Hannah White’s indefinite suspension from the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) began in March 2026, as per city records. White has been a member of the SAPD since 2022, during which she has faced significant scrutiny over her conduct.

The events leading to her suspension trace back to September 2025, when Officer White and a colleague arrested a man at Scarlett’s Cabaret on Sable Lane near Broadway. The individual had initially contacted the police, alleging that he had been charged fraudulently by the adult entertainment venue.

Upon his arrest, the suspect complained of pain in his hands and requested medical assistance. However, records indicate that Officer White did not promptly inform her supervisor about the suspect’s injury, raising concerns about her adherence to protocol.

The suspension report further reveals that body-worn camera footage documented White’s failure to search the suspect before placing him in her patrol unit, even after being reminded to do so by another officer. Alarmingly, it took more than 40 minutes post-arrest for White to conduct a search of the suspect.

The investigation highlighted discrepancies in White’s report, where she claimed to have checked the suspect’s socks and shoes. This assertion was contradicted when detention officers found a bag containing a “white, powdery substance” in the suspect’s socks as he was being processed into jail.

This incident was not Officer White’s first suspension. She had previously been suspended in November 2025 for failing to administer a sobriety test on a suspected drunk driver involved in a crash. Such repeated lapses in judgment have raised questions about her professionalism and commitment to her duties.

The SAPD’s handling of this case reflects a broader commitment to accountability within law enforcement, ensuring that officers adhere to protocols that protect both their integrity and public trust. As investigations continue, the community remains watchful of the department’s actions regarding Officer White and her future with the force.

For ongoing updates, residents are encouraged to follow local news outlets and stay informed about the proceedings surrounding this case.
