SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is actively seeking assistance from the public in locating Eden Rodriguez, a registered sex offender who has reportedly failed to comply with the mandatory registration check-ins. This situation raises significant concerns, given Rodriguez’s background involving serious criminal offenses.
Rodriguez was originally convicted for the sexual assault of a child, a crime that necessitated his registration as a sex offender. According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, he was required to register annually following his release, highlighting the ongoing obligation that registered offenders have to ensure their whereabouts are known to law enforcement.
Records indicate that Rodriguez last complied with his registration requirement on August 29, 2022. As of December 2024, he has not fulfilled his annual registration duties, making him over two years overdue. This lack of compliance poses a potential risk to the community and raises the urgency of his apprehension.
In addition to the registration issues, Rodriguez is wanted in Medina County on active warrants related to serious charges of indecency with a child and aggravated sexual assault of a child. The dual nature of these offenses underscores the serious implications of his non-compliance.
According to BCSO, Rodriguez’s last known address is located in the 5800 block of Pioneer Estate, situated on the far West Side of San Antonio, near Highway 90. This information is crucial for community members to be aware of as authorities work to locate him.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information regarding Rodriguez’s whereabouts to come forward. They can be contacted at 210-335-6000 or via email at bcsotips@bexar.org. Your tips could be instrumental in ensuring community safety and aiding law enforcement in their ongoing efforts.
