The Palestinian Health Ministry, based in Ramallah, reported that the four Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces. In contrast, the Israeli rescue service, Magen David Adom, did not specify the circumstances of the Israeli man’s death. According to Palestinian health officials, four injured Palestinians are currently receiving medical treatment, with three listed in critical condition. Additionally, the Israeli rescue service reported airlifting two injured Israelis out of the West Bank for further medical assistance.

In response to the incident, the Israeli military issued a statement indicating that soldiers had reacted to reports of an attack on Israeli civilians who were hiking near the settlement of Havat Gilad, located west of Nablus. The military has since imposed a temporary cordon around Nablus and the adjacent Palestinian village of Tell, as tensions continue to mount in this volatile region.
