SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio country musician, Felix Roberto Juarez, also known by his stage name “Felix Truvere,” was arrested on Friday during his tour. Authorities allege that he possessed over 50 videos of child sexual abuse material on his phone, raising serious concerns about his actions.
Juarez, 52, was taken into custody by the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) after a detective discovered these disturbing videos while searching his iCloud account. The official reports indicate that the alleged offenses occurred in July, and a warrant for his arrest was issued a month later.
According to the affidavit, Juarez willingly provided his iCloud email address to the detective, which led to the discovery of the explicit material on October 7. This revelation has shocked many in the music community, particularly since Juarez was scheduled to perform at Cool Crest Miniature Golf & Metzger Biergarten on the West Side on the day of his arrest.
The case highlights the importance of vigilance regarding online safety and the protection of children. Possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material is a serious crime, and law enforcement agencies are dedicated to combating such offenses. It serves as a reminder to everyone, especially young people, about the potential dangers online and the responsibility we all share in ensuring a safe environment for children.
As this case unfolds, it raises questions about accountability in the entertainment industry and the need for thorough background checks for performers. It is crucial for fans to remain aware of the values and actions of the artists they support.
