SAN ANTONIO – A serious car accident early Sunday morning has led to the arrest of a man suspected of intoxication assault after driving the wrong way on Interstate 10, according to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD).
The incident occurred around 1 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-10 West, specifically in the 11400 block. Officers were called to the scene following reports of a three-vehicle crash.
According to police, a 41-year-old man was driving northbound in the southbound lanes when he collided with a truck before striking a sedan driven by a 47-year-old woman. This dangerous mistake resulted in serious injuries for the woman, who was taken to the hospital for treatment.
