BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A man was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after crashing into a deputy’s vehicle in northwest Bexar County, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
Xavier Stout, 24, crashed into a BCSO K-9 unit around 1 a.m. Sunday near the Highway 90 frontage road and Loop 1604, the sheriff’s office said. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, and the K-9 was not in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
This incident marks Stout’s second offense for driving while intoxicated. After the crash, he was taken into custody and booked into the Bexar County Adult Detention Center. Driving while intoxicated is a serious issue that can lead to dangerous situations on the road, not just for the driver but for everyone around them.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), every day, about 28 people in the United States die in drunk driving crashes. That’s one person every 52 minutes. It’s crucial for everyone, especially teens, to understand the risks involved in driving under the influence.

In a related note, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office has also reported that a man was found dead with ‘evident trauma’ in southeast Bexar County, raising further concerns about safety in the region.
