SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio police officer has been accused of seriously injuring his 12-year-old daughter in an incident that has raised significant concerns about child safety and parental responsibility.

Bless Achor, 38, surrendered to authorities on Wednesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest. According to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), Achor faces charges of injury to a child causing bodily injury and endangering a child.

After being arrested, Achor was released on bond, but the details surrounding the case are troubling.

Incident Overview

The alleged assault occurred on June 6, 2026, at Achor’s home in the 5400 block of Rowley Road in San Antonio. At the time, Achor was with his daughter, who was reportedly eating cereal while he and her stepmother were bringing in groceries.

Witnesses say that Achor became frustrated that his daughter was not helping, especially since her pregnant stepmother was struggling. This led to a heated exchange in which Achor allegedly told his daughter he would give her “something to cry about” before physically assaulting her.

The child sustained bruises around her eye and temporarily lost vision in one eye, although her vision later returned to normal. Following the incident, Achor reportedly made her kneel in a corner for hours and denied her medical assistance.

Notably, he also told his daughter that she could not return to visit him, which raises further questions about the emotional and psychological impact of such actions on a child.

Investigation Developments

On June 17, 2026, Achor was interviewed by Texas Rangers at the San Antonio Police Department, where he was presented with photographs of his daughter’s injuries. Despite this, Achor maintained that he had not harmed her and was unaware of any injuries.

A search warrant was executed at Achor’s residence on July 8, but his wife refused to cooperate with the investigation. The Texas Rangers had to forcibly enter the home, highlighting the complications surrounding this ongoing case.

As this situation unfolds, it serves as a stark reminder of the responsibilities that come with parenthood and the serious implications of child abuse. The community and authorities are closely monitoring the case as it progresses through the legal system.
