In addition to the heat, a plume of Saharan dust is set to arrive in South Texas on Thursday. While it won’t be too dense, it could make the skies appear less blue than usual. Another wave of this dust is expected to follow over the weekend, so keep an eye on the sky!

For those interested in astronomy, the Perseid meteor shower is happening right now! It will peak tonight into Thursday morning. Since the new moon will be out, visibility will be much better for spotting meteors. To catch the best view, try to find a spot away from city lights, but be cautious of potential low clouds that may roll in by early Thursday.
