SAN ANTONIO – A tragic incident occurred in San Antonio, where a 20-year-old man named Julian Ramos has been charged with murder following a shooting outside an after-hours bar. This shooting, which took place on April 19, resulted in the death of 24-year-old Sabas Garza and left another man injured.

According to court records, Ramos not only faces a murder charge but is also charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The San Antonio police were alerted to the shooting around 4:37 a.m., responding to reports at the intersection of Guadalupe and South Trinity streets. Upon arrival, officers found Garza suffering from gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shortly after the first shooting, police received another call about a shooting a few blocks away near South Zarzamora Street and Brady Boulevard. Here, a man had been shot in the leg, and his vehicle had crashed. Investigators later connected both incidents, indicating they were related.

Witnesses reported that a fight broke out between two groups outside the bar located in the 1600 block of Guadalupe Street. One witness described seeing Ramos with what looked like an AR-style rifle. After the fight, as he and his friends were heading back to their vehicle, they heard someone shout that a man had a gun.

The witness recounted that Ramos crossed the street towards their group and began firing multiple rounds, hitting one of the men in the leg. Two acquaintances of Ramos later spoke to detectives, stating they were with him during the events leading up to and following the shooting.

According to their statements, Ramos was involved in the earlier fight before he retrieved a rifle from a vehicle. One witness mentioned that Ramos fired a warning shot before shooting several more rounds towards the other group.

Detectives obtained surveillance footage from the area, which allegedly captured the moments of the shooting. The video showed Ramos engaged in a fistfight before the groups separated.

Based on the evidence collected, including witness statements and video footage, detectives secured a murder warrant for Ramos on May 23. He was taken into custody recently, and the legal proceedings will follow to address these serious charges.
