SAN ANTONIO – A man was injured in a drive-by shooting early Tuesday morning on the North Side of San Antonio, and police are currently investigating the incident.
The shooting took place around 4 a.m. near the busy intersection of Naco Perrin Boulevard and Perrin Beitel Road. According to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), a 40-year-old man and a woman were walking along Perrin Beitel Road when they suddenly came under fire from a dark-colored SUV.
The man was shot in the chest and required immediate medical attention. Fortunately, the woman was able to call for help, and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
After the shooting, the SUV fled the scene heading towards Wurzbach Parkway. Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.
