SAN ANTONIO – In a thrilling matchup on Saturday, the Denver Nuggets edged out the San Antonio Spurs 136-134 in overtime, halting the Spurs’ impressive 11-game winning streak. Nikola Jokic was the standout player, showcasing his versatility and skill with an impressive performance that included 40 points, 13 assists, and eight rebounds.

Christian Braun also made significant contributions, scoring 21 points, while Jamal Murray rounded out the strong offensive effort with 15 points and 10 assists. Aaron Gordon played a crucial role as well, netting 15 points, including a pivotal shot with just 6.2 seconds left in regulation that tied the game, forcing the contest into overtime.

On the other side, rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama delivered a stellar performance for the Spurs, tallying 34 points, 18 rebounds, seven assists, and five blocked shots. Despite his efforts, the Spurs were unable to secure the win, marking only their third loss in the last 30 games. Stephon Castle contributed 20 points, while teammates Devin Vassell and Julian Champagnie each added 18 points to the scoreboard.

The thrilling encounter highlighted the competitive spirit of both teams and underscored the Nuggets’ resilience in a tightly contested game. As the NBA season progresses, both teams will look to build on their performances, aiming for success in the playoffs ahead.
