If you’re hoping for rain, there’s a small chance. Currently, there are no significant weather systems to trigger rainfall, but a few pop-up showers might appear today through Monday. Sunday could offer a slightly better chance of rain, especially for those living east of I-35.

As for the tropics, things are looking pretty quiet right now. There’s hardly any tropical activity, mainly due to wind shear and a significant plume of Saharan dust that’s floating across the Atlantic. Although August usually ramps up tropical weather, this season is projected to be below average.
