TROPICAL MOISTURE THIS WEEK

As we move into the middle of the week, expect a significant influx of tropical moisture coming in from the Gulf. This could boost our chances for rain, though it won’t be guaranteed for everyone. If you do catch a shower, be prepared for heavy rainfall, with some lucky spots potentially seeing up to an inch of rain. Fortunately, severe weather isn’t on the horizon.

HURRICANE SEASON

Today marks the official start of hurricane season, which runs from June through November. As of now, the Atlantic basin is pretty calm, but historically, this time of year sees increased activity, especially in the Gulf and northern Caribbean. It’s a good reminder to stay informed and prepared, as hurricane season can bring unexpected storms.
