FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS
FORECAST
Today, we’re in for a hot day as the heat index is set to soar! After a brief period of cloud cover in the morning, the sun will break through, pushing temperatures up into the upper-90s. But it’s not just the heat that we need to worry about; the humidity is going to be thick today. This combination means that by noon, it will feel like it’s over 100°F! When we hit peak heating in the afternoon, ‘feels like’ temperatures could even reach 110°F or higher. So, be careful out there—Excessive Heat Warnings are in effect!

Looking ahead to Friday, we might see some storms trying to creep in from the northwest during the pre-dawn hours. However, it seems like most of this activity will stay north of San Antonio. As for temperatures, they will cool down a bit due to increased cloud cover, but it’ll still be hot and humid, with heat index values possibly exceeding 100°F. The dynamics of the weather will depend on outflow boundaries from the storms to our north, which could trigger storms Friday evening and night.

On Saturday, we can expect rain chances to continue. Just like Friday, where the storms develop will depend heavily on those outflow boundaries. Currently, the odds of rain sit at about 50% throughout Saturday afternoon. While it won’t be raining the whole day, some areas could experience heavy downpours.
Fortunately, quieter weather is in the forecast for Sunday—just in time for Father’s Day!
