TODAY

If you’re in South Central Texas, get ready for a wild ride with the weather over the next few days! Today starts off cool, with morning temperatures dipping into the 40s. But don’t worry, it warms up nicely to nearly 80 degrees under clear, sunny skies. Perfect for getting outside and enjoying the weather!

WEEKEND WHIPLASH

As we head into Saturday, expect it to get even warmer, with temperatures soaring into the 80s and possibly low 90s, especially near the Rio Grande. Sunday is shaping up to be the hottest day of the weekend, with highs around 92 degrees in San Antonio. This could potentially break a record that has stood since 1908! However, be cautious: gusty winds combined with very dry air will raise fire weather concerns, particularly to the west and north of I-35.

A strong cold front is expected to sweep through on Sunday evening, bringing powerful north winds and a rapid drop in temperatures. By Monday morning, we could see lows in the 30s and 40s, with daytime highs only reaching the 50s and 60s. The dry and windy conditions following the front may lead to critical fire weather, so stay alert.

EXTENDED FORECAST

Looking ahead to Tuesday, expect another chilly start before we gradually warm up later in the week. Despite these significant temperature swings, it appears that we won’t see any rain for the next 7 to 10 days, so keep that in mind for your outdoor plans!
