SAN ANTONIO – Excitement is brewing in San Antonio as the Spurs organization gears up for the upcoming 2026 NBA playoffs. Fans are invited to partake in a series of engaging activities, including opportunities to score free merchandise, attend watch parties, and enjoy complimentary tacos, as outlined in a recent news release from Spurs Sports & Entertainment.

The festivities kick off with a limited pop-up shop opening at 5 p.m. on April 14, located at 333 West Commerce Street. This shop will continue to welcome fans daily from noon to 8 p.m., making it a prime destination for Spurs enthusiasts looking to gear up for the playoffs.

As an added incentive, the first 200 visitors to the pop-up will receive free tacos from Taco Palenque, a beloved local eatery known for its delicious offerings. This initiative not only promotes community engagement but also reflects the Spurs’ commitment to creating a vibrant game-day atmosphere.

Starting April 17, fans can participate in the “Spurs Spot It Challenge,” which allows them to earn digital points redeemable for game tickets, retail credits, concessions credits, and exciting giveaways. This interactive approach encourages fan participation and adds a layer of excitement leading up to the playoffs. For additional details, interested fans can visit the Spurs’ official website.

The weekend of April 17-19 promises even more opportunities for fans to win prizes, including additional free tacos and T-shirts. These giveaways are designed to enhance the community spirit and excitement surrounding the Spurs’ playoff run.

In anticipation of Game 1 of the Spurs’ playoff matchup, a pep rally is scheduled to take place at the Red McCombs Community Court at Hemisfair. The first 200 attendees will be treated to free Taco Palenque coffee and tacos, as well as complimentary car flags and more. The exact date of this pep rally will be announced in accordance with the NBA playoff schedule.

For fans attending the first-round games at the Frost Bank Center, there’s an extra treat: each seat will feature a free T-shirt. The design for Game 1 will be created by local artist Shek Vega, while Game 2 will present a design sponsored by H-E-B, further showcasing local talent and community support.

If fans are unable to attend the games in person, they can still join the excitement through watch parties at the Rock at La Cantera, which are free for all attendees. The Spurs’ mascot, the Coyote, will be present, along with photo booths and opportunities to win free T-shirts, ensuring that the spirited atmosphere is felt throughout the community.
